A907E0311Y – Lotus 907 Cylinder Head, Federal Air-Injection / Smog Type

Original Lotus 907 cylinder head for late-1970s U.S.-specification Lotus models equipped with the Federal emissions air-injection system.

This head is identifiable by the eight air-injection passages located above the exhaust ports, used as part of the period smog-control system fitted to Federal-market cars. This configuration was used on late-1970s Lotus 907 applications including the Esprit S1/S2, Elite, and Eclat.

For applications where the original smog equipment is not being retained, the air-injection ports can be plugged, and purpose-made plugs are available from several Lotus parts suppliers.

The head has been cleaned and presents well overall. It is being sold as a used bare cylinder head and should be inspected and machined as required for the intended engine build prior to installation.
