WC-907E0066-DI-SET — Ductile Iron Cylinder Liner Set — Lotus 907 / 910 / 912

Set of four new ductile iron wet cylinder liners specially machined for Lotus 900-series engine blocks.

These are purpose-machined liners for Lotus 907, 910 and 912 applications, not generic sleeve blanks. Compared with conventional gray cast iron, ductile iron has a nodular graphite structure that provides greater tensile strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance. This makes the liners less prone to cracking and better suited to repeated thermal cycling, head-clamping loads, and high cylinder pressures.

Ductile iron is particularly well suited to performance, turbocharged, racing, high-compression, and other demanding engine builds where improved liner strength and dimensional stability are desirable.

The liners are supplied semi-finished and intentionally undersize, allowing the engine builder to finish-bore and hone each liner to suit the actual piston set and required piston-to-wall clearance. This provides the opportunity to establish the final bore geometry and clearance during engine machining rather than relying on a pre-finished liner dimension.
