Rare original Lotus Esprit S1 black-rim steering wheel, offered as a restoration core.

This is a genuine used early Esprit steering wheel and will require full cosmetic restoration. The original rim covering is heavily deteriorated and should be completely replaced. The aluminum center section shows substantial paint/finish loss, but there is no pitting or significant corrosion, making it a very good candidate for refinishing.

Original S1 steering wheels are increasingly difficult to find, especially in restorable condition. This is ideal for an originality-focused restoration where the correct factory steering wheel is preferred over a later or aftermarket replacement.
